An elegant design, racing-boat technology, a low-wash hull for cruising at water level, silent electric motors, batteries that can be recharged 2,000 times, optimum manoeuvrability…. These are some of the features that make the new-generation electric trimaran a good idea: Odonata.

Odonata features five seats and can reach speeds in excess of 15 knots. Using cutting-edge techniques and composite materials (an infused sandwich of glass, carbon and epoxy) this trimaran is powered by a system of pods attached to the motors under each of the floats. The boat navigates with a touch-sensitive control panel and navigation software installed in an ultra-modern cockpit.

Batteries

Simplicity and safety

Odonata has four lithium-ion batteries weighing 30 kg each, housed in the boat’s main hull. So you can go boating every day with extremely low energy costs.

These batteries are virtually unaffected by ageing and will last for about 15 years. They require no maintenance, their self-discharge is low (averaging just 10% per month), and they recharge very quickly (70% in one hour), either at home or at the dock.

Lithium-ion batteries currently dominate the portable-electronics market. An electronic protective system prevents any danger during their use and ensures excellent performance.

Autonomy

Enjoy long excursions at sea…

Depending on the trimaran’s speed and load, Odonata’s autonomy can reach 50-100 miles with a maximum speed of 17 knots. So while it’s not made for deep-sea fishing, Odonata is perfectly suited for long excursions at sea along the coast.

There’s no risk of unpleasant surprises: battery charge can be checked at any time from the control interface in the cockpit.

Safety

Experience the sea…

Innovative, quiet and eco-friendly, the Odonata trimaran is also very efficient in terms of safety.

The batteries, protected by an electronic system, go through a static converter to power the engine safely. The pods, located on either side of the hull, are completely immersed to ensure effective cooling.

The onboard navigation software, available through the touch-screen control interface, lets you efficiently manoeuvre the boat and check the status and serviceability of the batteries and the engine. Navigation is made easier and safer with a navigation tool that displays the boat’s speed and precise position at all times.

Finally, the cockpit was designed to provide pleasure boaters with safe and pleasant boating conditions. Its five seats are perfectly protected from the effects of the sea and communicate with a large swimming platform. Located aft, this platform makes it easy to get into the water for safe swimming and diving.
